Located on stunning Vancouver Island in the welcoming oceanside community of Campbell River, BC; Regional Aviation is an expanding 604 Private Corporate Flight Department, under Broadstreet Properties Ltd. We operate a top-of-the-line mixed fleet that includes the Legacy 500, Praetor 500, Phenom 300E, and A-Star AS350-B2. 

This full-time permanent position, reporting to the Aircraft Maintenance Manager, is responsible for the maintenance, airworthiness, technical and administrative support of all company aircraft, ensuring compliance with Transport Canada regulations and company standards.

This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong technical and communication skills, adaptability, with a proactive, situationally aware safety-focused mindset.

Your contribution to the team includes: 
  • Perform line maintenance and annual inspections on fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft.
  • Troubleshoot and rectify defects, and complete planned maintenance tasks in accordance with required standards.
  • Ensure aircraft airworthiness as defined by Transport Canada regulations and company procedures.
  • Interpret technical manuals, drawings, and diagrams to identify required repairs, maintenance, and inspection actions.
  • Maintain accurate aircraft logbook entries and associated technical records for all maintenance activities performed.
  • Utilize the Computerized Aircraft Maintenance Program (CAMP) to manage maintenance programs for all aircraft.
  • Communicate with manufacturer technical representatives as required.
  • Assist the Aircraft Maintenance Manager with inventory tracking and management.
  • Provide maintenance status reports and updates to the Aircraft Maintenance Manager and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Review and report on new Technical Publication Notices, Service Bulletins, and Service Letters.
  • Review Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM), Illustrated Parts Catalogues (IPC), Structural Repair Manuals (SRM), and scheduled maintenance requirement changes, assessing impacts on aircraft maintenance programs.
  • Manage parts shipping and receiving activities, including customs clearance requirements.
  • Monitor serviceable and unserviceable parts inventory and conduct monthly audits, including time-controlled parts.
  • Manage calibrated tooling control and auditing processes.
  • Manage consumables inventory control and auditing processes, including time-controlled consumables.
  • Conduct monthly audits of aircraft logbooks and technical records.
  • Perform maintenance and inspections on aircraft support and ground service equipment.
  • Source, coordinate, and communicate with vendors as required.
  • Attend and actively participate in safety meetings, training programs, and other assigned meetings.
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports and documentation, including:
  • Reporting safety hazards, incidents, non-compliance events, and maintenance occurrences through applicable company, regulatory, and Safety Management System (SMS) reporting processes.
  • Completing required government, maintenance, and certification reporting.
  • Support hangar operations and basic facility maintenance activities.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
What you need to be successful:
  • Post-secondary education from a Transport Canada-accredited Aircraft Maintenance Engineer program.
  • Completion of technical training and 3 years plus relevant work experience.
  • Line Maintenance experience is preferred; however, Line or Heavy Maintenance experience with EMB 505/545/550 or A-Star AS350-B2 aircraft is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Experience reviewing technical publications, including Service Bulletins, Service Letters, AMM, IPC, and SRM documentation.
  • Experience reviewing Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) e-Bulletins.
  • Experience working with Pratt & Whitney, Honeywell, or Safran engines.
  • Experience with Collins Pro Line Fusion, Garmin 3000, or other advanced avionics systems is considered an asset.
  • Additional E-Licence ratings or advanced avionics troubleshooting experience is considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with CAMP or similar aircraft maintenance management software.
  • Experience managing parts, consumables, tooling, and inventory auditing processes is considered an asset.
  • Current Transport Canada AME M2 Licence; M1 and M2 licences are considered an asset.
  • Meet CAR 566.05 recency requirements.
  • EMB 505/545/550 endorsement is considered an asset.
  • A-Star AS350-B2 endorsement is considered an asset.
  • Valid driver's licence and the ability to obtain and maintain required travel documentation.
  • Ability to successfully complete required background, security, and criminal record checks in accordance with applicable requirements.
  • Proficient in interpreting technical manuals, drawings, and diagrams.
  • Skilled in accurate and timely reporting related to safety, maintenance, regulatory compliance, SMS, and certification requirements.
  • Proficient in technical record-keeping, including maintenance logbooks and audit documentation.
  • Ability to manage complex technical issues from identification through resolution.
  • Proficient with computer systems, internet-based resources, and electronic technical manuals.
  • Good manual dexterity and proficiency with tools and measuring devices.
  • Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs, and standing for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation where applicable.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to record, interpret, and convey technical information clearly and accurately.
